Talapus Lake

Difficulty: Easy
Distance: 4 Miles Round
Northwest Forest Pass Required

It's been a couple of years since I have done this hike. I decided to take a friend up here, as it's an easy hike that doesn't cover too long a distance. I really had forgotten how beautiful it is! With it still being early in the hiking season, the river was raging and the lake was full. It was a cold hike, as our weather has turned back to grey - so common living here in the Pacific Northwest - but being true Westerners, we went anyway. After all, if you don't hike in the rain once in a while, you don't get a lot of hiking done.
